The North Vancouver District Public Library is looking for enthusiastic and outgoing student assistants to help us with our Summer Reading Club. Every year the Library participates in this self-directed reading program, which encourages children of all ages to read for 50 days in in the summer. Assistants will register children for the program, and interact with them during return visits, create welcoming spaces, and gather and evaluate statistics.

We're looking for:
- post-secondary students who enjoy working with children of all ages
- young people who are enthusiastic about reading & can model reading as an enjoyable activity
- team players who can share and implement creative ideas
- university/college students who are already somewhat familiar with children's literature, and are looking to gain more knowledge (ideally enrolled in a Library School, faculty of Education or Library Technician diploma program)
- welcoming & approachable personalities who can impart the same information over & over with the same level of passion and enthusiasm
