The Exhibition Assistant will work with the Museum Director/Curator to revise the museum's long term displays by performing research and preparing artifact for display.
The Exhibition Assistant should be ready to work on a variety of projects requiring excellent attention to detail.
Description of Duties:
-Assist in digitization project which includes creating interactive iPad displays
-Perform research on museum objects and photos
-Write labels and prepare exhibit for display
-Work with the public in a retail setting on an occasional basis as required
Desired Skills & Qualifications
-An interest in and knowledge of Canadian history
-Ability to research, compile synthesize, and summarize information
-Ability to work independently or in a team setting
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
-Excellent attention to detail
-Experience with museum collections an asset
-Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
