The Tlicho Government, located in Behchoko, NT., a community of three thousand people one hour west of Yellowknife, is the governing body of the Tlicho people. Like all Indigenous people, the Tlicho have a rich cultural heritage, that is intimately linked to the land, language and way of life going back thousands of years. The Tlicho Government has an archive of thousands of photos, documents and audio recordings that need to be organized and cataloged before the knowledge is lost. We are looking for students with strong language, computer and organizational skills to help us. Candidates must be interested in learning about Tlicho culture and working closely with community Elders. Experience with the audio, visual and digital technology is an asset. Knowledge of the Tlicho people and language is a strong asset.
