The Carleton Immersive Media Studio (CIMS) at Carleton University offers an opportunity for recent graduates in engineering, architecture, information technology and Indigenous and Canadian Studies to learn (and apply) new technologies in the recording, processing and Building Information Management tools for the conservation of historic places. It is led by Carleton University researchers Stephen Fai (Azrieli School of Architecture) and Mario Santana (Department of Civil Engineering), and includes other research professors and graduate students from Carleton University.
The main objective of the YCW internship program is to offer valuable experience in heritage documentation and conservation to emerging recent graduates in relevant fields.
One Young Canada Intern will be selected, he/she will be involved in projects being developed by graduate students working with academia and industry. The term is May to September 2018. For more information, visit the CIMS website; http://cims.carleton.ca.
