The Saskatchewan Craft Council is seeking an EXHIBITIONS ASSISTANT to assist in the development of a manual for a major project, plus providing summer relief for our Boutique and Gallery, and assisting with exhibition installations.

The ideal candidate will be an upper year university or technical college student undergraduate or in a graduate program in the fields of Arts Administration, English, Curatorial Studies, Management Consulting, Humanities, or Library Sciences. The position requires above average research, documenting, writing and editing skills.A proficiency in MS Word to create a Manual is required. In addition, the candidate will be engaging, be able to communicate comfortably and professionally with a wide range of people from various backgrounds, in written and oral form. Experience in research techniques and writing is essential. Customer service experience is an asset as is familiarity and comfort with computer software. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to meet deadlines, flexible and comfortable working within a non-profit arts organization.

The position is located at the Saskatchewan Craft Council in Saskatoon. It runs from May 28 to August 17, 2018. (Starting and ending dates can be changed.) This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), at $13.11 per hour.
