Applications are invited for the position of Interpreter/Researcher at the Campbell Carriage Factory Museum, a provincially and federally recognized heritage site located in Middle Sackville, NB. The CCFM is owned and operated by the Tantramar Heritage Trust Inc., a non-profit, charitable organization, which promotes preservation of heritage resources in the Tantramar region of Southeastern New Brunswick. The Interpreter/Researcher will be engaged in the daily operation of the Campbell Carriage Factory Museum, overseeing summer staff scheduling; delivering museum and historic walk tours; researching and assisting in the development of in-house exhibits and various off-site exhibits; assistance at special events, education, and animation activities; research projects related to the site; and systems maintenance and record keeping.

The ideal candidate will be enrolled in an accredited Museum Studies program at the graduate or undergraduate level, or be entering the senior year of an undergraduate degree in the Humanities or Social Sciences with the intent to pursue a career in the heritage sector. He or she will process excellent English and intermediate French language communication skills, as well as competence with MS computer programs and database software. The candidate will work under the supervision of the Trust Executive Director and board members in a team environment and will demonstrate excellent work habits, strong interpersonal skills, organization efficiency, creativity, and attention to detail.

The position will commence on May 29 and end on September 2, 2018. Remuneration is $11.00 per hour, 35 hours per week. Candidates must be willing to work on weekends and statutory holidays, if required.
