MacBride Museum of Yukon History is hiring a Daily Programmer to deliver programs and activities to museum visitors and school groups over the summer. This job will run for 16 weeks from May 7th to August 24th, 2018.

MacBride Museum is located in downtown Whitehorse, Yukon.

This job will pay $14.50/hour for 40 hours per week and will include some evenings and weekends.

Duties include delivering daily programs and hands-on activities to visitors, groups and students, working in the front of house and providing a variety of interpretive tours. The successful candidate will enjoy interacting with people and have an interest in Yukon history.

Qualifications:

Students should be enrolled in post-secondary studies in the following subjects: museum studies, history, education, archaeology, anthropology, business or tourism.
Students should have basic computer skills. Proficiency in the programs in the MS Office Suite would be an asset. Experience with theatre or public speaking would also be considered an asset.

Fluency in reading and speaking English is required; French is an asset.
