The intern will acquire skills in the SDGs´ impact on improving the efforts to protect heritage by conducting research on dealing with energy performance of historic buildings. She/he will join a team of interdisciplinary experts and students from Carleton and ICOMOS Canada to conduct this work.
Furthermore, the intern will learn (and apply) new technologies in recording, processing and Building Information Management tools for energy performance in conservation of historic places. The project is led by Carleton University researchers Stephen Fai (Azrieli School of Architecture) and Mario Santana (Department of Civil Engineering), and includes other research professors and graduate students from Carleton University.
The main objective of the YCW internship program is to offer valuable experience in an emerging topic of SDGs and energy performance.
One Young Canada Summer Intern will be selected, he/she will be involved in projects being developed by graduate students working with academia and industry. The term is May to September 2018. For more information, visit the CIMS website; http://cims.carleton.ca.
