The ideal candidate will have a degree in Museum Studies or be working towards that goal. Students in related disciplines may also apply.

Lordly House is a small museum owned by the Chester Municipal Heritage Society and run by volunteers. The Society was founded in 1981 and is dedicated to preserving and promoting the unique heritage of our local communities. The Society owns and operates Lordly House Museum and Park and the former Halifax-Southwestern Railway Station, all located in the picturesque seaside Village of Chester, known for its welcoming local population, international visitors, links golf and the largest keel boat regatta in North America.

The position of Assistant Manager will involve all aspects of museum operations: guided tours, data management, artifact research, facility management, communications and participation in special events.
The position is for 9 weeks, commencing June 19, 2018, Tuesday through Saturday, 6 hours a day at $15/hour. The successful applicant will be responsible for making their own arrangements for travel and accommodation.
