The Salmo Public Library will be hiring a Reading Club Assistant/Computer Tutor. These temporary positions have been made possible through the generous support of Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations.
Terms of employment: 9 weeks - June 25 – August 25, 2018 for 30 hours per week at $12.50 per hour

Qualifications:
Must be between 16 and 30 years of age.
Must have been a full-time student in the semester preceding the job and intend to return to full-time studies in the semester following the job.
Experience working with children an asset.
Excellent oral and written communications necessary.
Good computer skills required.
Good organizational and customer service skills.

Duties and responsibilities for Summer Reading Club Coordinator:
Prepare and implement the Summer Reading Club for Children aged 5-12.
Promote Reading in a safe and welcoming atmosphere
Perform various library duties.
