Heritage/Program Interpreter

Sherbrooke Village has an opening for a Heritage/Program Interpreter


Hours will be 9:30am to 5:00pm five days per week with ½ hour for lunch from June 3 to August 23, 2018. Salary is $12:00 per hour.

The Heritage/Program Interpreter will develop and implement programs for public/visitor participation and enjoyment while interpreting the heritage of Sherbrooke Village. The history accurately reflects a representative sample of a period village from 1860 to 1914 with emphasis on the 1860s, complete with costumes, buildings, grounds and programs befitting its presence. Preparation, maintenance, and renewal consistent with the mission and philosophy with consideration for the reality of visitors, resources and time are adhered to under the direction of the Director of Visitor Experience and Supervisor of Interpretation.

Candidate will be expected to wear period costume.

Applicants must be full time students in the 2017/2018 season and must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a post-secondary program at an accredited educational institution and returning to school in the fall.
