Museum Attendant required for the Snow Lake Mining Museum & Tourist Centre in Snow Lake, Manitoba.
This position pays $12.00 per hour for 30 hours per week and runs from June 25 to September 2, 2018.
Qualifications for this position are:
- A Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee status
- Age 16 – 30
- Enrolled in school in the semester preceding this job and returning in the semester following it.
- Possess a valid SIN
- Be available for the full work term June 25 to Sept 2, 2018
- A friendly, outgoing personality is an asset
- Working knowledge of Excel & Word preferred
- Must be willing to do a wide variety of jobs
Applicants should possess good people skills and be willing to do a variety of jobs.
Duties will include: Greeting the public and welcoming them to the museum & the community, taking admissions & donations, selling souvenirs as required, giving guided museum tours, keeping detailed statistics, researching local history, assisting in the setup & maintenance of displays and exhibits, collections preservation & maintenance, assisting with archival records and general cleaning and dusting.
Training is provided for all aspects of this position.
