The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum at the Brandon Municipal Airport requires one full-time student Museum Interpreter.
The wage is $11.25/hr, 30 hours/week, starting May 14th to August 17th (14 weeks)
The position involves providing guided school tours, front desk work, co-ordinating volunteers and special events. Working with cash and selling gift shop souvenirs. Light cleaning, maintenance and security of the museum. Computer cataloguing, library/archival work and exhibit design also a possibility.
Experience with word processing/data entry and Photoshop graphic work an asset.
University students are preferred, a major or minor in history or education is an asset but not required.
Deadline for applications is April 25, they can be emailed at airmuseum@inetlink.ca or dropped off at the museum, Hangar #1, Brandon Municipal Airport. Week prior to start date interviews will be scheduled, applicants will be asked questions that relate to how they would preform various tasks at the museum, what past experience they have and attributes which would make them the best candidate for the position.
