The incumbent will also assist with conducting environmental monitoring in the RSM’s exhibit and collection spaces, and will participate in the implementation of the RSM’s Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program.
The incumbent will participate in other ongoing activities in the Aboriginal Studies Program and within the museum.
In addition to meeting the conditions set out by Young Canada Works, the successful incumbent will have two years of post-secondary education in fields such as Indigenous Studies, anthropology, museum and/or library studies, history, and fine art. Experience in artwork and/or archival document handling, museum database systems and information management will be considered assets. The successful incumbent will demonstrate a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and an enthusiasm for working with historical materials and knowledge in museum setting.
Employment is for up to 12 weeks, beginning May 14th, 2018. Pay is $16.25 per hour.
