Job description: Organizing awards program for agriculture communications as well as preparing daily news briefs, and translation from French to English and English to French.
Qualifications: Experience in communications and program delivery, skills in writing in English, willingness to improve French written skills. Good organizational skills an asset, knowledge of agriculture valuable.

Interview process:
1 Review applications and select candidates who meet the qualifications
2 Conduct e­mail screening to ensure candidates selected fully understand the job description and requirements and that it is congruent with their workplace preferences and are willing to let
their candidature stand
3 Conduct in person interviews or telephone interviews using standard questions for each candidate in order to further asses their qualifications as well as have them submit a written news brief.

YCW eligibility:
We will verify the following by asking for documentation and proof:
­ -legally entitled to work in Canada;
-­ is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada; is between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
­ -is registered in the YCW on­line candidate inventory;
­ -has been a full­time student in the semester preceding the YCW job;
­- intends to return to full­time studies in the semester following the YCW job
We will verify the following as part of the interview:
­ -is willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment;
-­ does not have another full­time job (over 30 hours a week) while employed with YCW;


Ormstown is the Chateauguay Valley of Quebec, which is very close to the Ontario and U.S. border, less than an hour south­west of Montreal. It is a rural community that is considered an English-
speaking community of Quebec (OLMC). The Chateauguay Valley offers a number of cultural, historical tourist events and attractions which can be found at tourisme-monteregie.qc.ca
