Title: Museum Guide/Interpreter
Location : St. Paul’s River

Activities:
Review and update museum catalogue
Research and catalogue new acquisitions
Conduct knowledgeable guided tours of museum to visitors
Care for museum collection
Recruit seniors to participate in story telling session on local history for visitors/tourists
Organize and host story telling session with seniors
General Administration – handle telephone/email inquiries, book public tours, photocopy, prepare newsletter
Operate gift shop when required
Assist Fund-raiser/Researcher in his/her duties

Requirements:
Education and or experience will be given priority
Excellent communication skills (written, oral)
Strong knowledge of computers including Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher
Must be able to work on his/her initiative or with a team
Researching, organizational and planning skills
Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Must be eligible for the Young Canada Works Program

Salary: 40 hours per week at $ 11.25 per hour
Duration: June 04, 2018 to August 10, 2018 - (10 weeks)
