Are you an energetic and committed undergraduate or B.Ed. student, that is passionate about History and Education? The Chilliwack Museum & Archives is seeking a full-time Education and Engagement Assistant for the Summer of 2018. Maybe that’s you!

The position is based at the Chilliwack Museum, a National Historic Site of Canada, located in the heart of Chilliwack, B.C. The Education and Engagement Assist position will begin approximately May 1st, concluding approximately August 31st. The wage for this temporary, full-time position is $16.00 per hour, working a regular week of 37.5 hours. Some Saturday and Evening work will be required.

The Education and Engagement Assistant will work closely with our Education & Engagement Coordinator, to strengthen our School and Public Programs. This will include creative participation in at least three significant projects, including research, program development and implementation, and engagement with the public. A key aspect of the Assistant’s work will be liaison and interaction with families with children, in order to assess and enhance our program offerings and services. In addition, the position will also include involvement in a broad range of Museum duties, providing unique practical experience in the culture sector.
