Are you an energetic and committed undergraduate student, with a passion for History, Museums, and Culture? The Chilliwack Museum & Archives is seeking one (1) full-time Curatorial and Archival Assistant for the Summer of 2018. Maybe that’s you!


The Curatorial and Archival Assistant will participate in a wide range of Collections Management activities, gaining practical, hands-on skills in the Culture sector. You will learn and experience basic aspects of artifact handling and storage, conservation, as well as other principles and practices of cultural resource management. You will participate in specific projects, including digitizing oral histories, and promoting access to historic resources.

Position dependent on funding and the following eligibility criteria:


Must be a Canadian student, legally entitled to study and work in Canada. You must be registered in the Young Canada Works inventory at www.youngcanadaworks.ca and you must be between the ages of 16 and 30. You must also have been a full-time student in the semester preceding the YCW job and intend to return to full-time studies in the semester following the YCW job. You must be willing to commit to a work assignment up to 16 weeks.
