Museum Assistant
May 14, 2018 – Sept. 1, 2018
Full Time (40 hours/week) $14.00/hour
Assist with the operations of the S.W. Sask. Oldtimers' Museum & Archive. The job will entail greeting visitors and orienting them to the museum, the community and the area. It will also include assisting with collections management, light facility and grounds maintenance, the development and delivery of children's museum programming, and aiding with the planning & execution of summer street festivals. The successful candidate will be currently enrolled in full time post-secondary education, have at least one season experience working directly with the public, possess research & organizational skills, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), as well as a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preference will be given to candidates with an educational background, or work experience, in the fields of history, tourism, marketing, business administration, heritage interpretation / public programming.
