Wage: The student will be paid a minimum hourly rate of $14.00 (possibly more as this is under review with the County’s Human Resources department following the newly introduced legislation).
Start date: two day training at County of Bruce: June 4th and 5th ; Starts at Museum June 20th
End date: August 31, 2018.

The preferred candidate for the position will be a post-secondary student, ideally studying in an education, culture, heritage, or recreation related field. The candidate will need a working understanding of the standard Microsoft Office suite of programs, and be proficient in email and social networking applications. The candidate will be enthusiastic and enjoy interacting with people of all ages, especially children, and will have experience planning and implementing activities for groups of school-age children.

From June 4th to June 29th, the Senior Leader Kid's Program will receive orientation and training from the Bruce County Offices (two-day training) and the Museum and will work with the Education & Outreach Coordinator and the Junior Leader Kid's Program to plan, schedule, and implement the KidZone programming for the summer months.

During camp (July 3 –August 31) the Senior Leader will implement the day-to-day execution of the activities they have planned for the camp attendees which include: crafts, games, songs, stories, outdoor time, and exhibit-based activities with the support of the Junior Leader. The Senior Leader may work with Museum volunteers and other workers in the delivery of this programming.
