The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada (RAMWC) is looking for a research assistant to take on research projects related to the RAMWC's expansion into a new facility. The position will involve the creation of 4-5 page research papers on various topics, including, but not limited to, aircraft in the museum's collection and important people, companies and industries in the history of Canadian aviation. Where applicable, the reports will include a cursory collection of audio/visual information and interviews, as well as ideas for potential exhibits. The reports will be used to inform and shape new exhibits at the new RAMWC building, set to open in 2019.

The RAMWC is a charitable non-profit organization with a 40 year history of community involvement.

We are looking for a creative individual holding a bachelors or masters degree in archival studies, history or any degree requiring strong research and writing skills. Strong computer skills and experience with formal report writing and formatting is required. Experience with archives, interviewing and familiarity with museum operations and objectives an asset.
