The Claresholm & District Museum operated by the Town of Claresholm is comprised of an historic CPR railway station, an 8,000 square foot Exhibit Hall, an historic (1903) schoolhouse and a pioneer log cabin (c. 1929). The Museum houses over 16,000 artifacts and archival materials.

The Claresholm & District Museum is seeking a reliable, conscientious and motivated student, between 16 and 30 years, returning to school in the fall, for the position of Curatorial Assistant. The Curatorial Assistant must be flexible and well-organized in order to perform a variety of tasks each day, including cataloguing artifacts using an electronic database and helping with exhibits. The CA must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, follow a Museum dress code, and policies of the Town and Museum. There will be a series of job-related reports to be submitted to the Executive Director. The Curatorial Assistant will work under the direction of the Executive Director of the Museum and have the help of volunteers. Training will be provided throughout the duration of the job.
The start date of the position will be May 1/16, the end date August 26/16. The rate of pay is $14.35 hr./ 37.5 hrs. per week. Students must be registered with YCW. Apply in writing to the Town of Claresholm, Human Resources.
