Then you may be a RESEARCHER!
The New Brunswick Historical Society requires a person who will research the Loyalist family of David Daniel Merritt of Saint John, New Brunswick. His Georgian home, known as Loyalist House, is 200 years old this year! We would like to compare what Saint John was like in 1817 with Canada's birth year 1867 and as it is now in 2017. If you are our successful researcher you will work 12 weeks, 40 week at $11 per hour. You will go to local archives, do oral interviews, meet fascinating people and go back in time! Work will begin on June 12 and end on September 1. You will meet with supervisors weekly to help guide the research.
We need someone who: has computer skills to record and organize the research;
organizational skills,
can learn to do oral interviews
likes problem solving
can analyze material
enjoys writing
and is interested in learning people's stories
