MacBride Museum of Yukon History is hiring a Daily Programmer to deliver programs and activities to museum visitors and school groups over the summer. This job will run for 10 weeks between May 15th and August 31, 2016
MacBride Museum is located in downtown Whitehorse, Yukon.
This job will pay $14.50/hour for 37.5 hours per week and will include some evenings and weekends.
Duties include delivering tours to visitors, groups and students. This position will back fill breaks for other staff.
The successful candidate will enjoy interacting with people and have an interest in Yukon history.
Qualifications:
Students should be enrolled in post-secondary studies in the following subjects: museum studies, history, education, archaeology, anthropology, business or tourism.
Students should have basic computer skills. Proficiency in the programs in the MS Office Suite would be an asset. Experience with theatre or public speaking would also be considered an asset.
Fluency in reading and speaking English is required; French is an asset.
