Experience the awesomeness of drumming this summer as part of our community engagement project at Rails End Gallery and Arts Centre. We are a public art gallery located in Haliburton's landmark 1878 rail station. You will be a student of any or all of: music, ethnic studies, education, performance art, world music; outgoing and self confident; inquisitive; a leader who enjoys people of all ages and a good listener. Our NEW Community Arts Animator (that's you) is responsible for helping us introduce the general public to drumming and rhythm as a means of creative expression at events, in family programming, community celebrations by developing ways and means of making sound together. Mentorship is provided - the desire to engage community through rhythm and drums is more important than proven ability to do so.
Qualifications: drivers license, high school graduate, returning to school FT in September
