$13 per hour Start date - May 15, 2017 End date Oct. 27, 2017

Job description - This position is ideally suited to someone with an interest in history and the ability to share that enthusiasm with a diverse clientele including children, school groups, family audiences and both local and tourist populations. The job entails providing guided tours and other hands-on, interactive learning programs focusing on the architectural, military and public history of Fredericton and New Brunswick including Aboriginal culture.

Candidates should have superior communications and people skills. Experience in history, architecture, theatre and education plus experience working with children and/or tourists would be assets. In addition, knowledge of local history and interest in military history plus abilities in performing or storytelling are preferable. Musical ability including either singing or playing an instrument would be desirable.

Candidates will need to prepare an audition and undergo an interview to demonstrate their suitability and ability to perform these tasks.
