This position is for eight weeks starting July 4, 2017 and August 31, 2017 (this will allow for a few days off). Eight hours/day and five days/week at $13/hour.
Our museum is a 10 acre village with twenty plus heritage buildings and many pieces of equipment and thousands of artifacts to maintain.
Job Responsibilities will be:
- Assist with museum artifact inventory
- Bring museum documentation up to date
- Restore windows
- Assist with research and design of a new exhibit
- Fill in as museum tour guide as needed
- Other museum related tasks as needs arise.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Candidate must be 16 and have completed Grade 10 and have basic computer experience. An interest in history and artefacts would be considered an asset. Training will be provided on the job.
