The Town of Ingersoll is seeking a History Sleuth for employment with the Ingersoll Cheese & Agricultural Museum.

DUTIES:
- Conduct local research into World War I, its impact on the local economy and the community;
- Conduct research into the men and women from Ingersoll and surrounding area who served during WWI;
- Create online and digital content of the museum's artifact and archival military collection;
- Research and update existing research files on topics relating to Ingersoll's history;
- Research confederation in Canada;
- Input data into the collections management software;
- Occasionally operate the museum gift shop, and greet and orient visitors to the site;
- Assist with public programming as required
- Other general duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Is a registered College or University student returning to school in the fall;
- Studies related to education, history, museum studies, or library sciences would be definite asset;
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification;
- Motivated with excellent planning, research and time-management skills;
- Excellent computer skills;
- Experience working with the public and demonstrated customer service skills;
- Willing to work some weekends.

Will be working out of the Ingersoll Cheese & Agricultural Museum.

Wage: $13.50 per hour (35 hours per week)

Start: May 29, 2017
End: September 1, 2017
