The Manitoba Baseball of Fame Museum was started in 1998. It is one of only three dedicated baseball museums in Canada. The mission is to promote and preserve the heritage of baseball in Manitoba by collecting and displaying memorabilia of past and present individuals that were born or played in Manitoba or teams that competed in Manitoba.
Requirements - Full time post-secondary student returning for full time studies Fields of study in History, Fine Arts, Literature or Communication would be an asset. Tasks:
Coordinate Induction Banquet
Update website
Catalogue and update memorabilia records
Research and collect archival baseball articles
Rearrange displays
Must have valid driver’s license
Start date May 04, 2026
End date August 21, 2026 35 hours/week
Wage $16.00/hour

Characteristics of City/Region
The MBBHOF is located in the Morden Access Event Centre. The City of Morden is situated 105 Kilometers SW of Winnipeg near the US border. The population is approximately 8500 people. A very multicultural population now. Farming and manufacturing are the main industries. Morden host the annual Corn and Apple Festival in August, which attracts 35,000 plus people into town. Other festivals and events include a folk festival, quilt and craft show, a recognized national triathlon, and several baseball/hockey tournaments, co-hosted the 2014 Manitoba Winter Games, 2017 Esso Cup and 2019 National Women's U-18 Championship. The city has several designated heritage buildings that are showcased with annual walking tours.
