The Summer Programmer at the Museum of the Highwood will gain excellent practical experience in developing and delivering programs, interpretation and visitor services, advertising and promotion, and time management.

Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of the YCW program and be registered in the on-line candidate inventory. Additionally, the candidate must have been a full-time student in the semesters preceding employment and must be intending to return to full-time studies in the fall.
Interested candidates will be working towards a post-secondary degree in museum studies, education, teaching, history or related discipline.

The successful candidate will be task oriented, work well independently as part of a team, have a passion for teaching and history, be willing to learn and experience new things. Previous experience at a museum, historic site, and/or archives will be considered an asset.
