Surrounded by nature, and in the heart of Northwestern Ontario, the Dryden Public Library is an active, forward thinking community space. The Library is a busy community hub, which offers a variety of programs every year. This summer, we are searching for a responsible and dynamic team member to plan and deliver our Summer Reading Program.
Ideal candidates for this position will be highly motivated and creative, will thrive in a collaborative workplace, and will be comfortable working with children, families, and the public. Previous experience working with and supervising children would be an asset.
The successful candidate will provide frontline customer service to library patrons and will regularly facilitate programming for children of all ages, including story hours, crafts, science programs, and special events. Excellent communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills are required. Experience working with the public or in a customer service setting is an asset.
The Summer Reading Program Coordinator will work thirty-five (35) hour per week, which will include some evening and weekend hours.
