Post-project
The experience obtained through this position will provide the necessary technical and personal skills and knowledge for the recent graduate to enter into the labour market not only in the areas of museums but also in archives, art galleries, and multifaceted institutions. The real-world insight into the role of conservation in cultural institutions will assist in the graduate’s transition from conservation in an educational setting to reality. As their direct supervisor, the Rooms Conservator will assist in their career orientation by way introducing them into provincial and national conservation-related networking activities during and after the project, notifying them of job opportunities through these networks and the host organization, and by providing references as required.
