PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation/Basin Head Fisheries Museum
Work term is 60 days between June 7 , 2021 and August 27, 2021
Wage is $14.56 including vacation pay. 37.5 hours per week including weekend work.
• Must have an outgoing personality with excellent social skills
• Responsible, dependable, punctual while taking pride in their work
• Ability to work in an often fast paced environment
• Must be comfortable welcoming each visitor with information and historical interpretation of the Fisheries museum and its exhibits.
• A background or interest in Island history or Social studies would be an asset
• Experience in retail work is definite asset.
• Must be a team player and be motivated to work with minimal supervision after training.

Job Description:

Provide informative guided tours of the Museum
Assist in the Gift Shop and the Scoop ice cream shop. Opening and balancing cash daily
Assist in general clean up
Assist with special events
Basin Head has been voted the “Best Beach in Canada” for the past 5 years and attracts over 70.000 visitors per season/ The beautiful scenery, historic attributes and bustling atmosphere make Basin Head an appealing place to spend the summer.
