Under the supervision of CUAG’s Art Gallery Education Assistant, the Art Education Assistant will assist with three main tasks: a) researching and developing outreach projects specifically for the student community on campus, to be implemented in autumn 2017; b) planning, coordinating and implementing the five-week CUAG Art + Sports Camp; and c) implementing the ongoing in-gallery education programming in summer 2017.

Field of study: The candidate will preferably be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in art history, fine arts, museum studies, or the humanities. Passion for and belief in the value of art education and public programming is extremely important. Prior experience in art education and public programming is an important asset, but is not mandatory. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Computer skills: The candidate needs basic word-processing and Internet research skills. Some experience with databases is an asset, but is not required.
