A Heritage Research Intern is sought to undertake a number of research and writing projects in support of Heritage NL's programs including developing papers for the Provincial Historic Commemorations Program, developing information and materials in support of the Registered Heritage Structure Program, and directed research on specific topics relating to the history and heritage of Newfoundland and Labrador. Candidates should have a graduate degree in a relevant topic that may include: history; folklore; cultural geography; or archaeology and be a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador. Candidates should have strong research and writing skills and employment experience in these areas is an asset.
The internship will run from October 5, 2020 until March 26, 2021. The place of employment will be the Heritage NL office in downtown St. John's, NL although flexible options may allow for work at home for part of the week.
